About Bijou Cabaret - The Event
Director Jac Bowie has already commenced a monthly event at The Blue Diamond Club, entitled Bijou Cabaret, based on the concept of Bijou Cabaret (The Club). This event has been created to gauge audience interest, and act as a training ground for our Bijou Girls and Guest Performers.
Opening Night of the current format was held on the 15th November 2009, and played to a sold out audience, and has received glowing reviews. This event also launched 3 of our resident performers, known as the Bijou Girls.
About Bijou Cabaret - The Club
We want to take the current successful concept of Bijou Cabaret (The Event) and create Bijou Cabaret (The Venue). The Saturday and Sunday shows, will be based on the current concept as performed at The Blue Diamond monthly, but a more elaborate, and spectacular production, featuring a host of resident performers, live musicians, special guests.
The Concept
Bijou Cabaret (The Club) will be Australia’s first and only high end cabaret dinner & show featuring a classic parisian showgirl production. It will also be the only parisian styled cabaret venue to have a full entertainment roster on 6 evenings a week.
With the current resurgence of Burlesque and vintage entertainment, now is the perfect time to launch this venue, and bring the genre into a large spectacular production.
It will be Australia’s answer to The Moulin Rouge, The Lido, The Crazy Horse, Cirque Du Soleil and Vegas Showgirl productions all rolled into one.
We expect the event will become a huge tourist attraction for Melbourne, already celebrated for its european feel, and extensive dining and entertainment options. Definitely the perfect city for this elaborate venue and concept.

JAC BOWIE
When it comes to cabaret, burlesque or vintage style entertainment, the name Jac Bowie is synonomis.
Jac is internationally renown as the leading agent and producer in this genre, and is the creative director of Jac Bowie Worldwide, an entertainment and events agency featuring the who’s who of burlesque’s top names and shows.
She also produces The Burlesque Ball, The Ruby Revue, Dr Sketchys Anti-Art School in Sydney, and of course the current Bijou Cabaret (The Event) in Melbourne. In 2010 she will commence a new monthly event at the iconic Sydney venue The Basement, entitled Emerald Follies.
She has been hailed as a modern day Minksy. A true pioneer in the new burlesque, working actively to create high end productions and opportunities for performers.

CASSANDRA ATKINS
Former Miss Nude World (Entertainer of the Year 2006) Miss Nude Southern Hemisphere, costume designer & corsetry maker, store owner, Cassandra Atkins has been in the performance and showgirl industry in a variety of roles for the past 11 years and has a great understanding of the club and our vision.
Cassandra will be bringing these skills into the production of Bijou Club, overseeing all aesthetics, choreography and creative vision.

Company Vision & Future
The vision for the venue is grand. We are not wanting to cut corners and create merely a useable space. The vision for Bijou Cabaret (The Club) is to create a space that is truly breathtaking.
We want the guests to feel like they have taken a trip into the parisian cabaret in it’s hey day. They feel it’s necessary to dress up and buy the supporting merchandise, as their night has been planned as a special event, and a night to remember.
We need to carry this expectation right through the entire experience, from the show to the service, to the food - from the moment the guests arrive to the moment they leave, they have been transported authentically into a new place and time.
