How it works
Car buyers visit the site and pay a small fee to place a “Wanted to Buy” ad for the type of vehicle they want to buy.
The site then emails all registered private sellers and dealers around Australia so they can quote a car and price to match the buyers specified needs.
All parties remain anonymous, as long as they wish or, until the buyer selects the seller/dealer they like the most. Once this happens the site automatically sends both parties each other’s contact details so they can continue the negotiations.
By design the site will greatly reduce the energy/time required of buyers and sellers of vehicles. The sites functionality provides benefits to both buyers and sellers of vehicles.
Benefits to Buyers
1. Can shop for a vehicle or finance without the pressure from a salesman. They remain anonymous until they choose a seller. Ideal for busy people or those uncomfortable with dealing with the pressure from salespeople.
2. Get to see quotes on vehicles that are in stock as opposed to other websites that may contain outdated/sold listings.
3. Find the right car easily. Saves hours/days/weeks searching car yards or the thousands of cars listed on normal sites and in normal newspaper ads.
4. A lot cheaper than a normal car broker service.
Benefits to Dealers & Private Sellers
1. Leads are paying for ads so are pre-qualified as genuine buyers.
2. Gives dealer a chance at more traffic than just walk-ins.
3. Sellers only pay for those leads they actually choose to contact. This keeps the billing to an acceptable level for dealers who are under economic pressure at the moment.
4. Costs for dealers are set and minimal to get access to genuine buyers as opposed to normal car sales websites and advertising which may or may not be seen and which get a lot of dreamers.
5. Private sellers will only pay for an ad that is direct to a genuine buyer.
Core Team Members
Currently the core team members consist of me Evan Jenkin. I am a senior accountant in a public practice and also have an Adv Dip Information Technology. I also have 20 years experience in the motor industry in sales, finance and management positions. I believe this experience was useful in the conception of this buying concept and will be useful in communicating the concept to motor dealers and in financial management of the business.

Current Valuation
Website value $3000 + potential income value in the eyes of the investor. The minimum investment we are seeking is $35,000(AUD). This amount can be parceled into smaller portions for multiple investors but is required as a total for advertising to provide branding and to educate the market on the concept. Discussions around value and allotment of equity / instruments issued can be discussed in person.
Exit Opportunity
To be discussed with investors. However some possibilities will be
- Buyout by the larger players in the Automotive Sales websites industry
- Public float and development into a major Australian internet group.
- Set time period buyout agreement between parties.
