ONE: Core Competency
The concept on which project DANZO is based is the application of the Merchant to Consumer (M2C) ecommerce model to the designer fashion market in Australia. The aim is to create an online fashion store that facilitates transactions between Australian designers & fashion boutiques and the young trendy, fashion conscious people aged 18-34 from Australia and worldwide. DANZO charges commission as profit after sales. In the beginning only man and woman clothing and accessories will be offered, but as the venture grows other product lines can be added, e.g. kids wear and home wear.
TWO: Advantages of the Project
This business model has been extremely successful overseas when applied to the fashion industry and the online consumer. Examples include the British ASOS.COM and NET-A-PORTER.COM, whose growth rates and net margins are impressive---NET-A-PORTER.COM achieved average 250% growth per year and £10.1million net profit in 2009. The unique opportunity lies in the huge potential market in Australia, to which the model has not been applied. For now, more and more designers and brands have joined our DANZO platform and became our contracted clients. DANZO’s aim is to become the top online fashion mall in Australia!

Australian online shopping sales for the year ended 2009 was 19.25 billion dollar (IBIS World). In terms of online sales the fashion market ranks fourth after airline tickets, books and electronics, which accounts for about 10.7% among all online purchases---2.05 billion.
