Clean energy from gas extraction from deep coal beds (Coal Seam Methane - CSM) is a fast growing sector of the resources industry with large players (British Gas, Conoco/Philips, Shell...) now involved in multi-billion dollar projects to produce Liquified Natural Gas to tap into the export market, using CSM as a feedstock.

Our technology provides critical downhole measurements of coal quality in a cost-effective and safe manner - data that operating companies rely on to determine reserves - which directly affects their market value - and to make informed field development decisions.

Current well evaluation methods rely on oilfield equipment which is not fit for purpose, providing poor quality or no useful results. With 30 years experience in the oilfield and the last 10 as an independent reservoir engineering consultant, our equipment has been designed to address the specific needs of the CSM industry.

Having successfully completed and operated our shallow well prototype with a local operator, we are now completing the commercial version, with clients waiting to use the system when available.

We have been awarded several government R&D grants and have been issued an australian patent on core technology, with a number of other innovations we believe are patentable.

On completion of the commercial tools, they will be operated through a decentralized field organization, which will obtain the data from operators' wells for analysis on-site or in Brisbane.
