Launched by ATP Innovations, Ignition Labs provides businesses with $25,000 in seed capital, intensive hands-on mentoring, a 3 month development program and participation in an investment road show in Australia and the US.

Applying the accelerator model developed by Y combinator, Ignition Labs will select five high potential clean technology IT and low-infrastructure businesses with strong coachable teams.

The accelerator is looking for businesses that reduce the use of finite resources or increase the use of renewable resources and have a validated concept.

These are likely to be software, low cost hardware or materials. Some examples are energy efficiency, green building, smart grid, transportation, clean manufacturing and materials, energy storage, renewable energies and air, water and waste technologies.
