Who we are
Our primary business is making games for PCs (Windows and Mac/OSX) and mobile devices (iOS and Android). We also have a track record of creating effective mobile business applications.
Membraine Studios is a small team that strives to play to the strengths of its target platform in order to deliver elegant game design.
Where we come from
Our first game, Orbital Defence, was released almost three years ago back in 2009. We learned some hard lessons with that release, but we have bounced back this year, a stronger and more experienced team.
Where we're going
Today, we are hard at work on three new titles for iOS and PC platforms. One of these projects, Exodus Wars: Fractured Empire, has been receiving rave previews based on the imagery we have released so far, and another (currently unannounced) project has just been selected for funding by Screen NSW's Interactive Media Fund (IMF).
Why we need your help
Membraine Studios is a relatively young business. In addition to seed/start-up capital, we seek to benefit from the experience of a mentor who is willing to work with us to expand the team's business knowledge and, in doing so, open opportunities for Membraine Studios to grow and thrive in an effective and sustainable manner.

We are a three-man team based in Sydney, Australia: Glenn (Art Lead), Josh (Technical Lead) and Mark (Producer).

Company Vision & Future
We strive to bring something new and innovative with our games. For example, our first game, Orbital Defence for the iPhone, was what we chose to call a "flick shooter" that meshed the flick mechanic of iPhone games like Paper Toss with classic shoot-em-ups like Galaga. Orbital Defence was the first game of its kind, and now, with Exodus Wars: Fractured Empire, we want to bring something new and innovative again, this time in the strategy gaming space by offering a true tabletop experience on players' computers.
In the next three to five years, Membraine Studios aims to grow the business in a sustainable manner, employing more people to enable development of more advanced gaming platforms, such as the PC and Microsoft Xbox 360. This will also enable development within more complex gaming genres, such as story-driven action games.
Over this three- to five-year period and into the future, we expect to see significant hardware shifts and technical innovations in the always-dynamic games marketplace. To ensure success, Membraine Studios will strive to adapt and grow, and will continue to innovate within the gaming community it calls home.
Regardless of platform or genre, we will continue to create innovative and fun games that engage with players and offer unique experiences.

Exit Opportunity
At present, we are targeting sale within 5-8 years to a large publisher wanting to bring development in-house. We are open to new thinking here, however, and welcome input from potential investors.
