Why was Mobi Passport Created
The growth Smartphones and tablets such as the iPhone and iPad include a growing range of applications can be very useful while overseas for viewing maps, getting directions, finding popular places to eat and drink, uploading photos or staying in touch with family friends. The only catch is that global data roaming is extremly expensive.
The best way to get a sensible data plan while travelling is to buy a local SIM, however this can often be very frustrating particuarly if you are on a tight timetable. Mobi Passport takes the benefits of using local SIMs and makes it easy and accessable for any traveller.
How it Works
All SIMs come in a handy passport wallet, along with useful information, user guides and instructions to stay connected. To make getting connected overseas as easy as possible, all Mobi Passport SIMs are already activated and ready for use. Many SIMs also support tethering and VoIP services such as Skype.
Credit can be purchased through Mobi Passport website before or after departure (note: most overseas mobile providers only accept local credit cards) or at local shops while overseas. The wallet is mailed express post to any Australian address before departure, so it is possible to be connected immediately after touching down overseas.
