MyKumbu is an online site to allow families spread throughout the world to share the precious memories within their child’s life. Within this context, memories include photos, stories, videos and any other artifact that can be converted to a digital asset, from a child’s life. These digital assets can then be uploaded to the site. Often these memories will be triggered by a life “event”, such as the birth of a child, birthday or some other achievement of the child. Through MyKumbu, the parent is then able to share these assets with members of their specified family, or tribe. The members of the tribe are then able to comment on the assets as well as add their own assets pertaining to that life event.
