Started in 2009 Nourish Brands fills a gap in the market to help food and beverage brands grow. With over 20 years experience working with some of Australia's most famous consumer brands, venues, restaurants and bars we draw on our experience to help you grow your business.
We develop ideas, new brands, innovation, menus, venue fitout, marketing, advertising - anything that can help your business to grow.
You won't find us sitting in a big fancy office waiting to take your brief. We believe in matching the right creative minds to your specific needs. This way we can give you access to the top end of town people, without the top end of town prices.
Core Team Members
Nourish was started by Maria Crews and Nicholas Burgess. Two people who are passionate about food and beverage brands and businesses.
Maria brings a brand and marketing perspective to Nourish with a career spanning 15 years consulting to many of Australia’s most prominent consumer and retail brands including Arnott’s, Latina Pasta, Don Smallgoods, Myer, Betty Crocker and Tetley Tea to name a few.
Nicholas brings a hospitality perspective to Nourish with over 20 years experience running some of Melbourne’s iconic restaurants, bars and venues. Including Pearl (running the team that gained Pearl it’s two hat status), Telstra Dome Medallion Club and most recently establishing the new The Sandringham Yacht Club Clubhouse (where he is currently under contract), with a fine dining restaurant, members bar and 300 seat function room. Nicholas even created his own first restaurant at age 21 ‘Sweet Jamaic’ in Richmond and followed up eight years later with the still hip Blue Bar in Chapel Street.
Company Vision & Future
To help food and beverage brands reach their potential. We do this buy helping them find ways to grow - whether it be new product ideas, new marketing ideas or just someone with fresh eyes to bounce ideas with.
We would like to grow to billings of $5M over the next 3 years and in 5 years become a global consultancy specializing in food and beverage.
Current Valuation
Currently in Startup Phase. However we are on track towards billings of $300K in year one.
Exit Opportunity
In time the owners would be able to exit, for this to take place the business needs to be systemised. We are working towards this, however the challenge of any consultancy is that clients buy the owners, so we are being conscious of this is the way we are establishing the business model.
Ideal Investor
Money is not as powerful for us as is connections, business council and support
