Scrattch streamlines the way internet users search, store and share the vast amount of information accessed each day across the internet through the application of an online research and sharing system. Scrattch is aimed at your educated web browser who regularly researches on the net and who is confident in the web 2.0 and ultimately semantic web space.
Scrattch engages users in communities of likeminded people and makes recommendations based on users data – the future of the web.
Core Team Members
The Scrattch team is currently made up of founders Louise Donnelly-Davey and Matt Tester.
Louise holds a Master’s Degree from Victoria University of Wellington, Graduate School of Business & Government Management. She has experience in New Ventures through her employment at the Ministry of Economic Development, The New Ventures Finance Team at Vodafone New Zealand and the New ventures team at Carter Holt Harvey NZ.
Louise has established and successfully sold 3 businesses. Her first was in the Fashion Industry, another in industry specific social networking and her most recent was in the online publishing space.
Louise has been working as a freelance PR and marketing consultant and holds skills in analysis, business development, networking, social media, marketing, branding, sales and PR and communications. Louise is highly driven, passionate and acutely aware of how the 2.0 space works.
Matt holds a 1st Class Honors Degree in Computer Science from Nottingham University and is also a Certified Microsoft Application Developer. Matt has been working as an independent consultant since 2006 and has extensive experience in architecting and designing systems for UK and NZ clients including NZ Department of Internal Affairs.
Matt’s main skills are in software design and implementation, but from his consultancy work he also understands business development and what is involved to create a successful web product.
Matt and Louise have worked on Scrattch for the last 12 months to bring it to Beta stage. They have both maintained other employment to support their families and the venture. Both founders bring different, yet complimentary skill sets to the project. Both Louise and Matt are totally dedicated to making Scrattch a massive success.
