EWN operates the worlds first and only location based severe weather and emergency early warning service and system. To make that possible EWN has developed an entirely unique technology, process and capability. The technology and service have now been substantially proven over three years of operations. The service is just being commercialised and is being rapidly adopted by large business and government including, Brisbane and Townsville City Councils, NSW State Water, Lend Lease, Elders Insurance, Metcash, BHP and Origin Energy to name just a few.
We are experiencing substantial growth in public membership with 500,000 expected by January 2011. Tens of thousands of employees from government and business enjoy our free public services. Our commercial corporate and government customers all come from highly satisfied public customers. Risk reduction, safety, improved OH&S practices, delivery in climate change adaptation and corporate responsibility are the focus of EWN’s enterprise business. Within OH&S and AS/NZS 4360:2004 risk management practices, EWN’s location based services are rapidly becoming recognised by business and government as a significant risk mitigation measure.
