We're multi-media entertainment product designers focusing on TV and the internet. We're currently seeking support for a low cost reality TV game show we've designed with high advertiser appeal with potential for global reproduction. We've designed, written and planned the pilot with our own people and have contacted the potential sponsors ourself and have been overwhelmed by the response. Our show is unique as we have taken product placement to an extreme enabling a minimisation of ad-breaks. The show is also ultra low budget specifically designed for cable TV and channels like Go!, hello and Mate. We believe we have designed the next X Factor, but in a genre that has been totally overlooked...
Core Team Members
We are led by a traditional board game designer who applies his skill to the screen. We have professional film crew workers, post production editors and sound designers on board. We are primarily focusing on our TV Game Show pilot as it has the most obvious potential, is low cost and has the likelihood of quick return.
Company Vision & Future
We would preferably like to produce our own TV Game show inhouse. We have plans on how to keep the costs down permanently below similar larger Australian production houses. Utlimately we would like to compete and undercut the big names in TV game show design in Australia.
Current Valuation
$50,000 for the first of our TV Game show pilots but on going funding for the first series to be discussed.
Exit Opportunity
TV Game Shows can achieve instant success and seldom have a lifespan of over five years. Popstars the show that inspired X Factor and others began in 1999, had three seasons in Australia and was produced in 15 countries before expiring in 2008. It made more than $300 million as a franchise. We envision establishing a seperate company for our TV Game Show; we expect it to have three or four seasons in each country and because our principle sponsor is likely to be a French company it should cross over into the French/German markets better than other shows do. At the end of six years the shows life would be exhausted.
Ideal Investor
Preferably someone with involvement in the media who will realise the potential. Being a production house would be even better, however we do want to produce the show according to our low cost formula and resist the temptation to push it upmarket. There is a genuine need for low cost shows and we would like our investor to appreciate this. Having real contacts with TV stations would complete the puzzle.
