Forget the hype and promise of Google Wallet, Commonwealth Banks Kaching and all the other mobile payment services that promise to revolutionise retail transactions, Australian mobile wallet operator mHITs has achieved what could be a world-first. mHITs (pronounced Em-HITS) has integrated it’s Australian SMS mobile wallet with 3rd party Point Of Sale system – BEpoz.

This means that the mHITs mobile wallet, which uses simple SMS ordering and payment, can in theory be accepted across the footprint of compatible BEpoz venues across Australia including cafes, pubs, clubs and restaurants.
The seamless integration means that venues do not have the expense, upgrades or complex integration from other “mobile” payment systems which are still at trial stage. mHITs means that customers can order and pay by SMS and the transaction is automatically directed to the venues’ POS system which then in turn passes the order directly to the venue barista or kitchen printer/display etc for preparation. Payment is seamlessly integrated as the mHITs mobile wallet transactions are automatically reported within the retail management system.
