ODI Modular Computers - an evolution in personal computing and home entertainment
--

We are currently designing and building a next-generation Modular Computer platform that will allow end-users to easily construct and upgrade computing and home entertainment devices using stackable modules.

The Modular Computer platform is a suite of individual, self contained modules (building blocks) that stack together to form computing and home entertainment devices.  By separating out the main parts of a computer into modules, we are bringing an element of upgradeability back into the industry and making it such that even novice end-users are able to benefit.  Messy cabling is also removed as the Modules stack together and communicate using built-in connectors.

A further advantage of our product is that the environment benefits from reduced electronic waste - when a module becomes obsolete, only it is replaced and all other modules remain.  Nowadays, when a PC is upgraded, generally the whole machine is replaced due to the large number of integrated components.

Our design philosophy is simple - we believe that technology should be simple, sustainable, attractive and it should offer a choice.  We are holistically designing the product suite in that each module will work with and complement the other modules in a Stack, and we are planning on supporting both commercial and open-source users.  The scope of the Modular Computer platform stretchs from your pocket, to your office and into your living room.

We invite you to visit our development blog for more information about our technology and our company.
