It’s official: we’re all one step closer to robot vision courtesy of augmented reality technology (and it’s slightly less complicated then the wearable computer of University of South Australia’s Tinmith program wearable computer at right.) In the US Yelp made it first to the market with the monocle feature in their app, allowing people to use the camera to see the reviews in located all around them.
Now an Australian company is announcing its ability to use augmented reality for marketing campaigns. Mobile marketing platform Insqribe announced last week its ability to overlay content onto the real world via augmented reality, and furthermore to track and monitor the activity.
