This contest has closed, but you can go ahead and say congratulations to our winner Snarl and keep an eye out for their video and updated profile.

If a picture says a thousand words, imagine what a video says? In the Youtube era, the video pitch has become essential ammo in explaining your concept and has the power to help condense a convoluted idea into a simple animation. It is a must-have in entering everything from Silicon Valley’s TechCrunch50 to the student IdeaPitch competition, so if the upper right corner of your IPitch profile is still naked and bare, here’s your chance to win a pitch video prize package worth $650 and a professionally written IPitch profile from the experts at DoingWords.com. It’s time to throw out that dusty old power point deck and get animated.

For our Lights, Camera Pitch contest, we will draw one random startup company winner from the IPitch member pool next Thursday, 19 November. You must have become a member and added your company to the site by 5 p.m., 19 November to be eligible to win a $650 video prize package including:

• Video concept consultation
• Professional sound, lighting and video recording of your pitch
• Limited animation, graphics, bugs, voice over
• Professionally edited 2 minute pitch video
• A hard copy for your personal use and a high resolution copy loaded online
• A professionally edited ipitch profile and company case study by doingwords.com

A short video can make a big difference in how customers, investors and media perceive your message, and a professional “startup story” consultation can help you add punch and clarity to your concept. You have seven days to join and create a company profile to become eligible to win. Already a member? Then you’re already entered. Start cooking up your video concept and drawing out your scripts. To get your idea engine running, we’ve posted some of our favorite Australian pitch videos here:

You can find the full terms and conditions of the prize package here.
