caradvice.com.au• Classifed Ad Ventures has take a stake in the Australian based online automotive site, CarAdvice.com.au. In the process, Simon Baker, the CEO of Classified Ad Ventures, has joined the Board. CarAdvice has just released its classifieds section of the site. Private sellers and dealers are now able to advertise their used cars to CarAdvice’s visitors at half the price charged by CarSales.

• Social networking and community engagement technology company Community Engine will be the exclusive social media and registration sponsor of next year’s ad:tech Sydney conference and exhibition.

I know, we talk about FireMint way too much, but how can we not when they’re always reporting awesome development, like CEO Rob Murray is in Game Dev Mag’s “50 Important People” along Steve Jobs, Peter Moore & Satoru Iwata.

• New South Wales-based business BuiltWith has launched a new “Build Profile” tab which looks at the technologies found on a website and recommends websites, books, software and services related to them.

• Online media and advertising directory site, MediaScope has announced they are now beginning to populate the directory on the site as they prepare for a late November launch. They are seeking media, small businesses, sites offering advertising or marketing industry businesses or clubs interested in listing.
